Common questions

Make sure you have a safe place to practice, ie, enough space. You will need a yoga mat, comfortable clothing, and a stable internet connection. Classes are held live on Zoom. Arrive some minutes before the class.

Yes. Maria guides each class with clear cues and offers modifications. Let Maria know in case it’s your first yoga class so she can provide additional directions if needed.

Flow to Restore is a dynamic practice and it gradually slows down into holding each asana for longer, finishing in a restorative asana and meditation. It may include mantras from time to time. Morning Yoga is a slower sequence but still challenging. We hold each asana for longer with the goal of using the first moment of the day to set a strong start. Both start with breathwork (pranayama) and both finish with meditation, both address the mind as much as the body.

Don’t worry about being whatever. To practise yoga you just need to be fully present and have an open mind. You will later develop body consciousness and inteligence which will help to go deeper into asanas related with flexibility.

Ideally eat a light snack at least 2h before the class.

Of course you can! A solid yoga practice can provide physical and mental benefits which will help you navigate the road ahead. Just make sure you let Maria know before the class start so she can guide you. Pregnancy is a great moment to practice yoga but we may need to modify some of the asanas to make sure the practice supports you fully during this special moment. Did you know that some women state they can feel the baby’s heart beat during meditation? It’s such a deep connection of love. The yoga practice will make you more aware to pay attention to these moments.
